A unique discovery by scientists that rewrites the rules of biology

A discovery by an international team of scientists led by the University of Ostrava is expanding our knowledge of unicellular organisms. In a microscopic parasite living in the body of flies, scientists have described unique cellular components that allow it to survive in extreme conditions. They have now published their findings in the prestigious scientific journal PNAS.
