Festive opening of the CirkArena project

On 25 and 26 March, the CirkArena project was officially launched????

Representatives of public administration, academia, research and the private sector gathered. The aim was to officially launch the project and to strengthen key partnerships between all involved.

The opening ceremony was attended by Jakub Švrček, Executive Director of MATERIÁLOVÝ A METALURGICKÝ VÝZKUM s.r.o., the company that is the project promoter. Today the meeting was also co-hosted by the President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic / Confederation of Industry CZ , Jan Rafaj, who underlined the importance of the project for the transformation of the region and the link between research and industrial practice.

Among the main guests were Pavel Janda and Jan Maršák from the Ministry of the Environment, Kateřina Nohelová from the Ministry of Regional Development, Pavlína Kulhánková from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Hana Truncová from the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic, Sarka Vilamova from the Moravian-Silesian Region and the Mayor of Trinec Věra Palkovská.

CirkArena connects research institutions such as the Technical University of Ostrava, Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Czech Technical University in Prague, Brno University of Technology and the Institute of Chemical Processes of the CAS, v. v. i. INCIEN | Institute of Circular Economy, SOBIC – Smart & Open Base for Innovations in European Cities and Regions and the Czech Technological Platform for Sustainable Chemistry are involved in the field of education and awareness raising. The project also involves the public sector, specifically the Statutory City of Třinec and the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Centre Ostrava.
