Moravian-Silesian Innovation Centre Ostrava (MSIC)

MSIC is one of the main actors of the region’s innovation ecosystem and is responsible for the implementation and coordination of activities leading to the implementation of the MSK RIS.

It is a team of experienced professionals who provide tailored consultancy services and create projects to support the development and international ambitions of companies. Their main focus is on small and medium-sized enterprises, start-ups and students, but they do not forget about the public.

Their activities help develop entrepreneurship, support talent and pave the way for cooperation between entrepreneurs, innovative companies, research organisations, educational institutions, experts and the public sector.

This networking is not only conducive to effective technology and knowledge transfer. At the same time, it creates a dynamic community of entrepreneurs and startups in the MSK, which contributes to the transformation of the region and increases its competitiveness in the global market.

Innoverse

Each year, MSIC’s key activities culminate in the InnoVerseconference , which is a celebration of the joint achievements of the actors of the MSK innovation ecosystem. Its programme aims at puncturing industry bubbles, bringing to the fore topics important for the future, and most importantly, promoting diverse collaboration.

International cooperation

What support can they offer in the context of foreign cooperation? MSIC is a proud member of the European Business and Innovation Centre Network and Global StartupCities, and a founding member of the CEE Startup Network. These memberships allow it to gain valuable contacts and expertise from foreign experts, improve services and help clients to expand more easily into foreign markets. At the same time, they provide opportunities for learning, networking and involvement – for example in consortia, projects and other foreign collaborations – not only for the innovation centre, but also for universities and regions.
