Ostrava, 27 August – The tradition of announcing promising startups of the Moravian-Silesian Region (MSK) continues this year. This time, six innovative projects have won the award. Their ceremonial presentation took place during the Pitch&Meet event on Tuesday, 27 August in the Clubco coworking centre with the participation of startups, investors and other guests. The campaign is organised by the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Centre Ostrava (MSIC).
The TOP10Startups campaign, now TOP Startups to watch MSK, was established to support promising startups in growing, networking, attracting investment and relevant contacts. Thus, the nominees regularly include companies that are already partially on the market but have not yet gained wider attention, or companies that have reached a significant milestone in their development and deserve support.
This year, BidLog., Edima Solutions, Sparksflow.io, Sources-Matter and Tulkit have taken up the baton. Alongside them, Stimvia was once again named the top startup of MSK 2024, retaining this status from last year. Interested parties will be able to meet representatives of the selected projects in person at the InnoVerse conference organised by MSIC on 28 November in the auditorium of VŠB-TUO in Ostrava.

They don’t get discouraged, they know what they want and they are working on meaningful solutions for a better, healthier and more efficient society and planet,” commented Adéla Píchová, Head of MSIC’s Startup Acceleration Team.
The announcement took place in the last week of August in the coworking center CTPark Clubco. The awarded startups were also given the opportunity to present their projects in the form of short presentations. After their presentations, investors from Tachles VC, DEPO Ventures and Soulmates Ventures also took the floor. There was also a networking session aimed at fostering stronger connections between the participants.
This year’s campaign, now in its fourth year, saw several changes from previous years. These have affected not only the name but also its focus. This year, the evaluation committee focused more on startups with the potential for rapid growth. The nominations were based on extensive questioning, personal interviews and project analysis.
Overview of TOP Startups to watch MSK for 2024:
An innovative auction platform that simplifies logistics. It makes the shipping process more transparent and cheaper, without hidden bids and inflexible approaching of many suppliers. The project enjoys local support and has global connections and reach.
An innovative startup focused on creating a digital assistant for technicians and maintenance workers in the industrial sector. It is a platform with comprehensive tools for analyzing different types of data, importing and easily managing them, as well as creating a dynamic know-how database to solve challenges more efficiently.
ESRS, supplierCO2 audits, energy audits… Sparksflow.io, a participant in the EnviBooster accelerator programme, deals with all this. The project analyses and optimises energy management in companies and prepares businesses for ESG requirements.
The winner of the EnviBooster 2024 accelerator program is developing an application to automate processes related to sustainable sourcing and ethical sourcing of critical raw materials and conflict minerals. The startup helps monitor the supply chain, identify and mitigate risks, thereby promoting sustainability and responsible sourcing.
Stimvia is not new to this campaign. Its revolutionary technology, which is protected by 71 international patents, allows it to stimulate deep structures in the brain in a safe, non-invasive way to treat a variety of chronic diseases. The company is currently in the clinical testing phase.
Upcoming online platform for therapists in the field of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and other professionals in rehabilitation, speech therapists or trainers. The product will enable hybrid patient-therapist collaboration through the app and thus contribute to the evolution of Czech and global rehabilitation.
