Ostrava and the entire region will have a new modern information and educational institution. Our new research library will be called the Black Cube and will be a space with a focus on users in all age groups and life stages.
The Black Cube is a library that inspires, changes and moves us now and our children in the future. We transform, develop and support people and their potential. We provide access to the latest knowledge and insight through new technologies, while nurturing our cultural heritage and not being afraid to innovate.
We emphasize a timeless approach that responds to people and also to highly fluid topics such as culture, technology and media. We are an institution that perceives the continuity of human nature while remaining open to the changes around us. The Black Cube helps us to move forward, to navigate the fluid world of information. We are a tool for all the people of the region.
