Research is meaningful if it provides concrete solutions. I try to achieve this by combining three factors: (i) a focus on functional and effective solutions – based on a decade of experience as a manager and consultant in HR and strategic development, (ii) an interest in economic theory combined with sociology and psychology, and (iii) a fascination with data and the ability to find answers to complex questions in it.

The importance of research and the impact of the work

The development of the Moravian-Silesian Region depends on how quickly and effectively the regional labour market can respond to changes in the demand for workers and their skills. At the same time, we need an environment that attracts young and educated people. As part of the Social Lab – one of the Living Labs of the REFRESH project – I am involved in developing a system for preparing a skilled workforce early and keeping them in the region.

“In the future, I would like to contribute to the link between academia and practice, where universities will be a natural partner for companies in making decisions about important matters – i.e. when it is necessary to know what works and what does not. In other words, “What I don’t measure, I don’t manage.””
