His research helps to better understand the functioning of credit markets and the effectiveness of central bank measures, which can lead to a fairer and more stable financial system. The results of this work have direct implications not only for policy-making at the CNB, but also at other European central banks. He regularly publishes in international academic journals and lectures at academic conferences and European institutions. Most recently, for example, at the Bank of Finland and the European Central Bank.
“I want research from the regions to answer the fundamental questions that affect people’s everyday lives – like why some households are in a financial disadvantage and what we can do about it. Research is meaningful when it delivers concrete improvements.”
