doc. Ing. Lukáš Prokop, Ph.D.

Lukáš Prokop is the director of the ENET Centre, which is part of the Centre for Energy and Environmental Technologies at VŠB-TUO. The Centre specializes in research activities in the field of renewable energy sources without harmful effects on the environment, which include new technologies of transport and processing of energy raw materials, their efficient energy transformation and modern solutions of so-called microgrids of electric and thermal energy using accumulation. For more than 20 years he has been involved in complex multidisciplinary research in the field of renewable energy sources and their integration into the electricity grid, decentralized power generation, island systems and their control systems. He is the principal investigator of a number of research projects in the field of electricity, as well as contract research projects in this area.
