Researcher at the Institute of Physics of the Silesian University in Opava, specializing in theoretical physics. His professional interest is mainly in black hole astrophysics, general relativity and black hole thermodynamics. He has been working with talented young people for a long time – he is active in the Young Physicists Tournament and the Astronomy Olympiad. In addition to his scientific activities, he is also involved in science popularization, where he tries to bring the latest findings of physics to the general public. He is a member of the only official Mars Society in the Czech Republic, specifically in Opava.
