Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech Republic

The company Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech s.r.o. (HMMC) is located in the industrial zone in Nosovice and was established on 7 July 2006. The largest ever foreign investment in the Czech Republic was confirmed by representatives of the Hyundai Motor Group, the Czech government, the Moravian-Silesian Region and the CzechInvest agency a year earlier in South Korea. The construction of the plant began to gain momentum quickly – already in March 2007 the first pillar was erected and 20 months later the first production car rolled off the production line. Hyundai prides itself on its respect for nature – more than 1,000 trees were carefully replanted during construction and returned to their original location after completion. They still form a natural part of the HMMC site today.
