Basic information

The need to improve the image of the place – the city of Ostrava and the Moravian-Silesian Region is a common interest of all actors of the ecosystem. We are basing on both the MarKom IE MSK Strategy and especially the strategic documents of the region and the city of Ostrava. In terms of shared needs, a working group, the MarKom IE MSK platform, has been created to link marketing and PR of public administration, universities, companies and startups. The aim is to coordinate joint marketing activities and strengthen cooperation between all stakeholders.

Approximately 15-25 active members. Representatives of public administration, universities, organizations and companies who are experts in marketing, communication and PR. Together we want to build a long-term and successful place branding of the region, which has something to be proud of.

“In the Moravian-Silesian Region and especially in the innovation ecosystem, there are many activities and outputs that deserve much more attention. This is the showcase of the region – successful startups, companies with a long tradition, quality education and scientific background, but also, for example, improving the environment thanks to new technologies. These are all facts that need to become more prominent in the public space and start to positively change the perception of the region. This cannot be done without cooperation, which is why I think this working group is so important.”
