THE DEVELOPMENT COMPANY CONCENS INVESTMENTS LAUNCHED IN MOŠNOV
CONSTRUCTION III. PHASE OF OSTRAVA AIRPORT MULTIMODAL PARK
Following the issuance of a valid building permit, the developer Concens Investments has commenced construction of Phase III of the Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park (#OAMP) at Leoš Janáček Airport in Ostrava Mošnov. The BMW car company will use it as a centre of excellence for its overseas logistics.
“Thanks to the long-term lease agreement we have signed with BMW Group, we will be able to continue to develop the site, where we have been operating since 2018 and which is unique not only in its location, but also in its combination of air, truck and rail cargo transport. The construction of the three logistics halls, which will run until Q1 2026, represents Phase III of the development of the Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park in Mošnov,” says Tomáš Novotný, CEO of Concens Investments.
“I am very pleased with the expansion of activities and the growing importance of the Czech Republic for the BMW Group. In addition to the BMW Group Future Mobility Development Center near Sokolov, we will create a unique logistics center in Ostrava,” says Maciej Galant, General Manager of BMW Czech Republic.
Concens Investments’ operations in Mošnov
- Phase – completed construction (4 halls)
In 2018, the development company Concens Investments started the construction of Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park in Ostrava Mošnov, which today comprises 138,000sqm of prime industrial real estate leased to leading logistics and manufacturing companies. The site also includes a 151,000m2 railway container terminal. In 2021, part of this site, together with the production park in Nosovice, was sold to the American real estate investment fund EQT Exeter.
- Phase – ongoing construction (4 halls)
In the spring of 2024, Concens Investments started construction of Phase II of Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park in Mošnov, which includes 120,000sqm of prime Class A commercial space. It comprises 4 halls suitable for logistics and light manufacturing, which are immediately available.
- Phase – construction started (3 halls)
On a plot of 513,000m2, which Concens Investments bought last year from the Statutory City of Ostrava. Concens Investments will build three new halls here, which will be used by the BMW Group for its logistics centre on the basis of a ten-year pre-lease. The project includes the construction of all access roads to the building plot and a railway terminal.
- Phase – construction in progress (1 hall)
An industrial hall with an area of 97,500m2 is planned to be built on a plot of 155,000m2 and has a building permit for implementation.
The total area of the Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park may exceed 550,000m2 of leasable commercial space in the coming years.
