The Moravian-Silesian Innovation Centre regularly hosts meetings of the MedTech platform. Its members meet at a round table and Jan Kavalírek, Deputy Director at the Czech Metrology Institute, a notified body for conformity assessment of medical devices, accepted the invitation to the first one this year .
Participants had a unique opportunity to hear his plans and visions in his new role, his journey from entrepreneur, through the Czech Metrology Institute, where until recently he was Deputy Director, to the Ministry.
Above all, Jan Kavalírek heard the entrepreneurial stories and needs of others.
These meetings are usually attended by around 25 companies, organisations, representatives of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ostrava and the University Hospital Ostrava. Representatives of companies or institutions from other regions also come, so that ideally there is also inspiration between regions. Together, all participants can share the necessary know-how, experience, but also current challenges or needs.
