Ostrava, 7 May 2025 – The Moravian-Silesian Region has a long-term focus on its transformation, for which sustainability issues and technologies contributing to a green future are essential. One of the tools for regional development is the EnviBooster accelerator programme, which was established under the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Centre (MSIC) last year.
The Moravian-Silesian Innovation Centre is organising the second year of the accelerator programme, during which registered startups from different parts of the world can learn, gain valuable partnerships and expert advice. Concrete projects take shape and find practical application. One example is the Slovak startup StoreField®, which is revolutionising the sale of fresh herbs. The first growing tower is being installed in Bratislava.
“Last year, the programme was structured into three key parts: one-to-one mentoring, community support and thematic workshops . Over the course of 11 weeks, participating startups focused on developing their business, received practical tips from experts and attended workshops focused on key topics such as business planning, service design, marketing readiness, legislative frameworks and presentation skills. This year there is a greater emphasis on face-to-face meetings and working with industry consultants,” adds Izabela Lupieńská, programme coordinator.
On May 6, 2025, the so-called Mid event took place in Ostrava’s Future, during which the cooperation so far was evaluated and the startups received feedback from experts and subject matter experts. The final conclusion of the programme will be a public event on 3 June 2025.
EnviBooster is the first accelerator program in Central Europe that focuses on supporting startups in the field of clean technology and circular economy. The project involves startups from different parts of the world, as well as many interesting companies. It brings participants contacts and connections with investors, advice from lawyers and experts on the topics and regular consultations. The final technologies of the companies aim to contribute to improving the quality of the environment and thus the quality of life of the local population.
