For the second time, the Work&Life Ostrava 2024 fair will take place in Ostrava, organised by the Expat Centre. The first edition of this event was a follow-up to last year’s Unique Summit (see https://1url.cz/01kuq for more information ). The fair will take place on 19 October 2024 at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava. The aim is to introduce foreign professionals not only to job opportunities, but also to the quality education system and attractive living conditions that Ostrava and its surroundings offer.

In recent years, Ostrava has been transformed into a strategic centre of innovation and technology, which attracts not only investors but also talent from all over the world. “Ostrava today is a city with enormous potential. The Moravian-Silesian Region is turning into an attractive destination for professionals who want to participate in building the technological future. There are also a number of startups with global reach,” says Adéla Hradilová, CEO of the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Centre (MSIC).

In addition to career growth, Ostrava will also present quality educational facilities. From modern kindergartens with bilingual education to the prestigious The Ostrava International School. The Work&Life Ostrava 2024 event will also present support for business start-ups and a rich cultural life. The city of Ostrava is ideal for those looking for a balance between work and leisure – the proximity to the mountains and natural parks allows for a quick escape from the urban environment. Affordable housing is a bonus. “Ostrava is a dynamic city with quality infrastructure, green spaces and cultural opportunities that make it an attractive place to live and work. Our priority is to provide residents with a high quality of life, accessible services and support in areas such as education, housing and transport,” Andrea Hoffmann, Deputy Mayor.

Work&Life Ostrava 2024 will offer an interactive programme, workshops and networking where interested parties can meet local experts and employers. Registration for the event is free, for more see https://www.workandlife.cz/.
